The MSSN CTRL countdown starts now!

Conference to focus on innovation in cybersecurity operations

It is an exciting time here at LimaCharlie as we join Sands Capital in hosting the 2nd annual MSSN CTRL conference next week. For three days, we’ll gather with cybersecurity leaders and practitioners to explore cutting-edge practices, unconventional solutions, and innovative tools in security engineering and automation. As the industry continues to grapple with platformization problems, the talent shortage and a never-ending influx of threats, we are not afraid to stop and ask — could we be doing things better? Attendees can count on gaining two critical benefits that will elevate their performance: a new perspective on how cybersecurity is done and knowledge that will improve security efficiencies and outcomes.

MSSN CTRL will feature deep technical training and hands-on sessions to equip attendees with new methods and tools to apply to their security programs. Topics will include:

  • Digital forensics

  • Incident response investigations

  • Cloud security

  • Ransomware

  • Artificial intelligence (AI)

  • Security tooling (and more)

See the complete list of speakers here. Some agenda highlights we’re especially looking forward to include:

Keynote: A decade of defense: the secret to securing the largest US crypto exchange

Philip Martin, Chief Security Officer at Coinbase

Discover how Coinbase, a company that protects the single largest store of cryptocurrency in the world, has leveraged multi-layered security frameworks, innovative technologies and proactive threat mitigation techniques to fortify their brand against evolving threats.Attendees will learn valuable lessons that will help them create actionable strategies for protecting their companies and maintaining trust in a high-stakes environment

Decoding the human factor in security operations

Chris Tillet, Principal Engineer Palo Alto Networks

Chris Tillet reveals insights on strengthening the human element in security operations through a data-driven approach.. Modernizing the security operations center (SOC) is the talk of the town. While much of the buzz focuses on technological developments, Tillet turns his attention to understanding processes and the people involved. . Discover  what he learned from two years of interviewing SOC leaders and analysts.

A lot to lose: a case study of ransomware targeting high value targets

Janet Lee, Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at Adlumin

Dive deep into a ransomware case study that includes threat actor methodology in targeting high-value targets, as well as mitigation processes. Attendees will not only gain visibility into the events of the attack but also learn from details of the subsequent exchanges made between the threat actor and the negotiator.

Productizing cybersecurity services with LimaCharlie

James Pichardo, CISO of the Superintendency of Banks, Dominican Republic

Explore an innovative methodology for turning cybersecurity services into scalable products, which includes demonstrations of actual prototypes built using low-code tools and AI-assisted software development platforms. Attendees will learn how LimaCharlie’s API-first, cloud-native architecture and engineering-driven philosophy can help founders and developers create  cybersecurity products in a more extensible, compliant and scalable way.

One key theme we’ll explore throughout the conference is how cybersecurity is evolving away from deploying one-size-fits-all, general purpose tools. Our field is moving toward a more flexible, customizable approach that can adapt to an organization’s unique environment and keep pace with today's threats. Attendees will gain new insights into how other leaders are navigating this transition, as well as the role of solutions like LimaCharlie’s SecOps Cloud Platform in operationalizing these new approaches.

"I always say that if I were to build a new security company, I'd build it on top of LimaCharlie," said Philip Martin, Chief Security Officer at Coinbase. "I'm looking forward to MSSN CTRL because security leaders have a lot to learn from LimaCharlie's approach. The unique and evolving challenges in the security industry require new, flexible ways of thinking, which is exactly what MSSN CTRL will provide. It's an honor to be a part of the industry-wide progress that will take place."

We look forward to seeing everyone next week! If you are interested in joining us, there are still a limited number of tickets available
