LimaCharlie's commitment to stability and control
Maxime Lamothe-Brassard
At LimaCharlie, we understand the critical importance of system stability and the potential impact of security software not only on your security operations, but your business operations as well. We want to assure our customers that the type of system-wide failure recently experienced by CrowdStrike customers affecting nearly 8.5 million devices is simply not possible with LimaCharlie's architecture. Here's why:
Ephemeral Kernel Presence: Our agent utilizes an ephemeral Kernel presence. This architectural decision ensures that in the worst-case scenario, a simple reboot of the machine is guaranteed to result in a clean state.
Controlled Update Process: LimaCharlie does not force-push sensor version updates. Our customers have full control over when and how updates are applied:
Updates can be managed on a per-organization basis
Our tagging system allows for granular control, enabling updates on a per-sensor basis if desired
This approach allows you to conduct your own validation testing before rolling out updates
Gradual Rollout Capability: Our platform supports controlled and slower rollouts, giving you the flexibility to update your systems at a pace that aligns with your risk tolerance and operational needs.
Extensive Testing: Every update undergoes rigorous testing across a wide range of system configurations before being made available to our customers.
Rapid Rollback: In the unlikely event of an issue, our architecture allows for quick rollbacks if necessary.
As an engineer-founded organization, we are committed to providing you with a stable, secure, and controllable security platform. Our architecture and processes are designed leveraging our extensive experience in developing agents for the Intelligence Community to minimize risk and maximize your control over your security infrastructure.
For any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team or your account manager. Your peace of mind is our priority.
